"This unique voyage has been incredible and one for the record books. It has also been the most physically and mentally challenging I have ever undertaken. Yesterday, with over 2150 kilometres covered, in 2 hour shifts of pedalling, we were within sight of the Sri Lankan coast. We had been nursing the gearbox for the previous week, literally one breakdown away from total failure. At the exact moment when we thought we were going to make it safely to shore, Mother Nature had other ideas."
